#Sigmatel audio driver windows 7 64bit driver
I downloaded the (link below) Audio Driver SigmaTel… Nonetheless, I went to Sony’s European support site for VAIO and found another 64-bit SigmaTel driver using the same search technique. Talked to a Sony Tech Support and I was told to bookmark the url and keep checking. To my surprise these new desktop PCs still use the SigmaTel chip. I tried to download the 64-bit audio driver but there seems to be a problem with the page - it wasn’t loading. I went back to Sony’s US support website () and browsed a Desktop PC (in this case the LT series) to see if it maybe using a 64-bit SigmaTel audio driver. However, I thought of an idea and see if it would work. My last resort is to disable the audio from the BIOS and get myself a PCI new audio card. I downloaded the IDT (SigmaTel 64-bit driver) from Dell, Gateway and HP but none of these worked. I googled for the net and found out that many folks did ran into the same problem after upgrading to 64-bit Vista.

I checked Sony’s support site for my PC model but they don’t seem to have a 64-bit version of the SigmaTel HD Audio Driver. I recently upgraded my VAIO RC210G to Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit to take advantage of the Intel Pentium D930 (dual core CPU). After the upgrade, I noticed the 32-bit SigmaTel Vista audio driver no longer works.
